Law & Order is a police procedural show which is created by Dick Wolf. The show is a franchise of the Law & Order and aired on NBC in 1990.

The show is set in New York City which follows the life of New York City police department as they investigate a crime and catches the suspect and also the prosecution of the said suspect by the Manhattan District attorney. Each episode is usually based on actual cases, most of which are recent headlines. The show first presents how the New York Police department looks into a crime and later on catches the suspect. On the second part of the show, the scenes lead to the Manhattan District Attorney’s office as they handle the case and prosecution of the defendant.

Law & Order stars George Dzundza as Sergeant Max Greevey, Chris Noth as Mike Loga, Michael Moriarty as Executive Assistant District Attorney Ben Stone Richard, Dann Florek as Captain Donal Cragen, Richard rooks as Attorney Paul Robinette and Steven Hill as Attorney Adam Schiff.

Law & Order usually starts with a jog or a walk featuring Central park in New York. Later on, the characters at the starting scene will discover a crime committed or becomes witness of a crime or worse is that they become the victims of a crime. Then the Manhattan Police will take charge of the crime scene which consists of two homicide detectives reporting directly to their lieutenant. The evidences collected leads to the arrest of the suspect and then handed over to the New York County District Attorney office. The detectives and the prosecutor works hand in hand and collaborates with the medical examiners to get a powerful testimony against the defendant.
