Lindsay Vonn did her country proud by being the first American woman to bag a gold medal in downhill skiing. During an interview with Bob Costas, she learnt that she had bagged a role on NBC’s “Law & Order” as a jury foreman.

It takes a lot of guts to win a gold medal and Lindsay Vonn achieved that feat despite having an injured shin. Miss Vonn told our news staff that she has always been a big fan and a loyal follower of “Law & Order”.

She also mentioned that she has been following the show for a long time and loves the fact that she can be sure that the bad guy is going to get caught and things will be well in the end. The show which is currently in its 20th season is her all-time favorite and she tries to catch all episodes, new or old. Whether it’s a classic with Lenny (Jerry Orbach), Jack McCoy or one of the episodes with the new cast, she always tries to catch the show.

Earlier this winter, Miss Vonn graced the sets of the show and was like a “little kid” according to our news staff.

As per the reporter who visited the sets along with Miss Vonn, Lindsay was so thrilled when the “L & O” crew hooked her up with heaps of “Law & Order” gear, that she ended up calling her mom from the set itself. According to Miss Vonn “Law & Order” is a hit with the entire Vonn family.

Besides winning the gold medal, Miss Vonn has also won a bronze medal in the super-G.

NBC has more ideas in the pipeline. Not only is it creating test episodes for a remake of “The Rockford File” a remake of a populare dectives series from the seventies. It is also working on an adapted version of “Prime Suspect” originally from the BBC as well as an action/ procedural series called “Chase”, by “CSI” producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

These news dramas run a chance to replace the Jay Leno show at the 10 p.m. airing time which has been left to fill now Jay Leno has been moved till 11.35 p.m.

When a freelance journalist is assassinated, the investigators find a link connecting her to a talk-show anchor having a past record of a number of workplace flings.

There was a lot of hype based around Benjamin Bratt’s appearance during this episode however we learned more about Rey Curtis than a cameo appearance could tell. We discover that he has become a single father raising three daughters since their mother died of MS. Lt Van Buren, who had not been present the past two seasons, returns in this episode with a storyline surrounding her cancer and how it is affecting her.

It was equally entertaining to watch as she fought back against Cutter and McCoy. We are also treated to McCoy apologizing to her at the end. Among the many characters, we see that she confides in Jack whom appears to be more understanding due to her cancer. We see him abiding time to talk with her since he attempts to be nicer to her even though she tries to keep the disease undercover.

The writing continues to be equally as clever, earning an A. Law & Order seems to continue to be enthralling as every episode has been enjoyable this season. I believe that if the quality continues, there will be a renewal in the works and it will continue to be a show worthy of watching.

The victim as it appears was gathering information about the organization for which he worked, information which could lead the organization to much trouble.

The part where his hitman surprised the Law & Order crew was unexpected. Marcus Woll returns with vigor as his sly villainous character. For a time it seemed that Mike and Connie would not be able to crack Woll. A love triangle was also revealed in this episode and although I wasn’t a fan for this story, it didn’t destroy my overall perception of the episode. I would like to see Marcus Woll return again as it would be interesting to see him more in the series.

Till the time the case has gone to court, there have been so many things on abortion while Roe v Wade that some people might find it too much for them. In the court, the judge takes the mellow dramatic testimonies.

This episode was definitely a bold step
